Single Hop Citra
KB: What are the motives behind this design?
ST: Given that it is a single hop series, there had to be something that will mark it as a whole series. The basic idea revolves around the single hop brew that clearly indicates from where originates this specific aroma that we like in a more standard type of beer. I have decided to draw a series of “postal stamps” from an aromatic journey that this series will take us on.
KB: What was the inspiration?
ST: In addition to my standard aesthetics that I have developed throughout the years inspired by classical shapes and traditional tattoos and rendered exclusively monochromatic, here it was joined by the beautiful hop.
KB: Was it the taste of the beer that defined design of the label?
ST: In my case it wasn’t a specific taste of beer but more the aroma of this specific hop, because while I was working on design the beer was not yet finished. The hop samples were delivered to me and I manage to release its aroma by rubbing it into the palm that also brought me to certain forms and colors. It was a very interesting experience.
KB: How does it feel like to do a design for the first Serbian craft beer?
